A Life of Love

Remembering Martha

A life defined by love, generosity, and an unwavering spirit.

Martha — beloved sister, mother, and friend whose legacy lives on through mental health advocacy

Martha was more than a sister, a mother, and a friend. She was a light in the lives of everyone she touched. Her love was unconditional, her generosity boundless, and her spirit unbreakable.

Even in the face of unimaginable challenges, Martha's heart remained full of compassion. She loved her son deeply and fought to get him the help he needed. She made call after call, searched for resources, and never gave up — even when the system failed her.

Martha's life was taken on January 15, 2021, in Lufkin, Texas. But her legacy — her love, her generosity, her fierce determination to help others — lives on through this foundation.

We carry her forward not with grief alone, but with purpose. Every person we help, every barrier we break down, every family we support — that is Martha's legacy in action.

“I'm determined that her love, generosity, and legacy will live on. I know that she still wants my nephew and others like him to have help.”

Martha believed in the goodness of people. She believed that everyone deserves help when they need it most. And she would want us to keep fighting — for better mental health resources, for compassion, for change.

This is how we remember her. Not just with words, but with action.
